2007 Shrine Bowl

Game recap: CASPER - Blake Richendifer of Douglas caught three touchdown passes as the South team beat North 20-17 in the 34th Shrine Bowl at Cheney Alumni Field.

Richendifer caught five passes for 49 yards and was named the offensive MVP for the game.

Two of his scores came in the second quarter after South had fallen behind 10-0. One was a one-handed, 8-yard grab on a fade route from Cheyenne Central quarterback Brick Cegelski and the second on a 5-yard slant route from Douglas quarterback Drew Hodgs.

Chris Sherwood of Laramie contributed 111 yards rushing on 23 carries for South.

Eric Jacobs of Powell led the North squad with 17 carries for 101 yards. Dubois' Austin Baker had 69 yards on 13 carries and an 11-yard touchdown.

However, the North was hurt by three second-half fumbles, all of which the South recovered.

Powell's Matt Wilson of the North team was named defensive player of the game.
